Description
Darius (full name Darius Midnite/Sylvaren, Midnite preferred) takes the appearance of a western-styled, non-morphic black dragon. Despite his generic appearance, distinguishing factors do exist and include a pair of shining amethyst-colored eyes, an upward-pointing tail "fluke" and a seasonal change in his underside. During the months of summer and winter the dragon takes a climatizing change to his appearance; on the first sign of snowfall he grows a lush, thick purple winter coat of fur to cover his ventral, sealing his self-made body heat in. That fur is lost in the spring and revealed beneath it is a soft plating of smooth silver scales, reflecting his warmth. Outside of an anthro interpretation, Darius will NEVER be seen wearing clothing.
Also one of the founding members of the self-contained community over in #respite. He is the original founder, the channel having been formed with the furdragon Sangie in 2008.

Music: Rock, Metal, Progressive, Symphonic, Alternative... 70s, 80s, specific groups, diverse tastes to many extremes. Major groups: Nightwish, Symphony X, Ayreon, Avenged Sevenfold, Lostprophets, Boston, Journey, Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc. Definitely not limited to the mentions here.
Entertainment: Sci-Fi in most likeness. A Trekkie at heart, but the Star Wars films were good too... I don't have a lot of exposure to TV or the film industry in general due to a lack of interest. If I sit on the couch it's usually to watch sports or game shows.
Gaming: Most of my flavors of gaming lie within the older Arcade titles, Atari 2600, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, and some of the games that follow the KISS principal (Keep It Short and Simple), such as the ever addictive "Peggle". Only a few modern games really catch my eye. Some rhythm gaming interest in there too; may be converted to a DDR fan if I'm not careful. Right now, most of what I play is Rock Band.
Roleplaying: I stem from a community/behavior that involved freeform roleplay; I will occasionally take the nicks Dari[mini] for a miniaturized form, Shiningtail for the character Trevor Shiningtail, and Salvitore for the character Salvitore Drako. This behavior is usually just to add some diversity to how I feel; both characters were made after my personality, and are both anthro dragons.
Social: Warm and forgiving, but highly opinionated. I try not to let that bother anybody, and will help anyone I can that is feeling down or having trouble. I don't "yiff" as much as the other furs; don't ask me to go have a fling with you. I'm a hornball, I'd sooner be asking you anyway... and that's not likely either as I prefer to keep my 'personal' side behind closed doors. Simply put: I had the most awesome, CLEAN time at AnthroCon 2009, and I wouldn't change anything about meeting and branching out for new friends.
